I had the immense honor of capturing Naomi and Li’s beautiful celebration at the breathtaking Lost Music Hall, a luxury wedding venue in South Devon. A Morning of Calm and Connection
The secret to a truly luxurious wedding day is having the time to simply enjoy it. Naomi and Li’s day began with a wonderful sense of calm, entirely without rush, because everything took place on the serene grounds of this peaceful house. Both of them prepared in exceptionally beautiful, spacious rooms, surrounded by their closest friends.
For the sixty cherished guests attending, the venue was wonderfully spacious. Everyone could find their favorite sunlit corner to relax in—even the couple’s delightful little dog, Patrick, who happily stayed by Naomi and Li’s side all day long!

The First Look in the Hidden Garden
Before the ceremony, Naomi and Li shared their “First Look” at the back of the estate, nestled within a magnificent hidden garden featuring a private maze. It was a beautiful, intimate setting. As a professional, I always encourage my couples to steal these quiet moments together. We captured some breathtaking couple portraits here, allowing them to connect undisturbed before sharing their vows with the world.
A Ceremony Woven with Magic and Music
The ceremony was held out in the open field, framed by the famously beautiful South Devon scenery. As Naomi walked down the aisle, the delicate notes of a live string quartet swept through the air. Everyone present could feel the magic of this moment, with Li and Naomi at the radiant center of it all. There was no pressure, no strict schedule breathing down their necks; everything flowed in its own natural rhythm.

Following the ceremony, the guests meandered to the terrace, relaxing with refreshing cocktails and elegant canapés under the English sky. The wedding dinner was a magnificent affair served in a huge, warmly lit wedding tipi.
Here is where the visual storytelling became truly spectacular: while they embraced the classic English countryside aesthetic, the tables were styled with a brilliant, Chinese twist to honor Li’s heritage. It is this meaningful blending of worlds that makes me so passionate about my work as a destination wedding photographer. An Evening of Joy in the Main Hall
As dusk fell, the main hall of the historic house was transformed into a lively dance floor. The couple shared their first dance to the enchanting waltz of “Merry Go Round of Life” from Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle. It was a beautifully cinematic and joyful moment.
Even as my time came to a close and I began packing my cameras, the echoes of laughter followed me out into the crisp night air. It was, without a doubt, one of my favorite UK destination wedding locations. I sincerely hope to return and photograph at Lost Music Hall again soon, as there is boundless beauty waiting to be captured in its historic walls and lush gardens.
