A Bohemian Dream: Getting Married in Kazimierz Dolny
September 29, 2026/
When couples ask me about the best wedding locations in Poland for a destination wedding, my mind immediately goes to Kazimierz Dolny. Perched beautifully on the banks of the Vistula River, this historic, picturesque town has been a celebrated haven for painters, writers, and bohemian artists since the late 19th century. Its cobbled streets and artistic soul make it the absolute perfect backdrop for an unforgettable European destination wedding.
For Karolina and Gabriel, this enchanting town was the exact vibe they wanted. They chose the incredibly romantic Folwark Walencja, a rustic-chic private manor house, as their wedding venue. As a destination wedding photographer in Poland, I see many venues, but Folwark Walencja offers something truly special: an intimate, home-away-from-home atmosphere paired with elegant, rustic charm.
Getting Ready & A Garden Ceremony
The manor house provided a gorgeous, relaxed space for Karolina and Gabriel to get ready alongside their closest friends and family. With 75 invited guests traveling to celebrate with them, the venue was the perfect size, allowing everyone to stay close and feel completely immersed in the day.
The ceremony took place outside in the manor’s lush back garden. A beautiful custom wooden arch was built to frame the couple, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. When it was time for their first kiss as a married couple, the moment was made utterly magical with vibrant smoke bombs filling the air—a bold, artistic touch that made for some of my favorite wedding portraits of the year.
After the ceremony, a long, heartfelt line formed as guests showered the newlyweds with gifts, tight hugs, and emotional wishes.
Champagne, 'Sto Lat', and Local Polish Traditions
After the ceremony and wishes, the celebration moved into the stunning glass orangery. It was here, with champagne glasses raised high, that the guests gathered around the dance floor and sang the traditional Polish song “Sto Lat” (wishing the couple 100 years of life). As a Polish-born photographer based in London, I love watching guests experience the beautiful, warm traditions of a Polish wedding!
The dining hall was beautifully decorated by the venue, honoring the rustic accents of the manor house in every single floral arrangement and table detail.
An Unforgettable Night at Folwark Walencja
A true Polish wedding is known for its incredible hospitality, and this night did not disappoint. The tables were overflowing with delicious food and traditional bimber (local Polish moonshine), keeping the energy high all night. The evening was a whirlwind of joyous dancing, a fun-filled photobooth, magical sparklers under the night sky, and a mouth-watering wedding cake.
Even as I packed up my cameras late into the night, the party was still going strong—a testament to exactly how a wedding should feel.
Planning Your Destination Wedding in Poland?
In conclusion, Karolina and Gabriel’s destination wedding in Poland was an unforgettable experience full of joy, pure love, and great memories. The venue and its surroundings are breathtaking, and the service and food are truly excellent.
If you are dreaming of a destination wedding in Poland, I highly recommend considering Folwark Walencja (alongside other beautiful rustic spaces like Majątek Howieny) as one of the best wedding venues in the country.
