There is a distinct kind of silence that comes with deep winter. It’s sharp, biting, and incredibly beautiful. For my first photoshoot of the year, I travelled to Lublin, Poland, to meet Damian. We didn’t want just another headshot; we wanted to capture something visceral—the fluid elegance of human movement against the brutal rigidity of winter air. The conditions set the stage.
